The Southern Regional Competition Finals series is an opportunity to evaluate, rank, honor projects and spread the entrepreneurial spirit widely in the Southern provinces.
According to the program’s Organizing Committee, at the Southern regional competition, 18 candidates representing startup projects participated in the presentation round, directly introducing their products, highlighting the creativity of products, goods, green business models or positive contributions to the environment, in line with the theme of the 2024 Competition and answering questions from the Jury. Projects that won third prize at the regional level or higher will continue to participate in the National Finals of the 2024 Women’s Startup Competition, which will take place in Hanoi in the near future.
During the event series, startup project owners also participated in booths displaying and introducing products in the following fields: Agriculture, forestry, fisheries; industry, product manufacturing; education, tourism, services, finance; healthcare, health care, beauty technology; business creating social impact… This is an opportunity for projects to promote and introduce their products, goods, and services to a large number of delegates attending the event series, and at the same time, it is a place for exchange, cooperation, market connection, and development promotion.
It is expected that on the morning of September 20, the Vietnam Women’s Union will organize the Award Ceremony of the “Women’s Creative Startup and Green Transformation” Competition in 2024 at the Southern region level and the Award Ceremony of “Vietnamese Women Confident in Doing Business” in 2024 within the framework of implementing the Long-term Cooperation Agreement for the period 2022-2027 to implement the WomenRise program “Improving the quality of life and empowering women through business development and health education” between the Vietnam Women’s Union and Unilever Vietnam International Company Limited.
According to the Vietnam Women’s Union, 2024 is the 6th year that the Vietnam Women’s Union has organized the Women’s Startup Competition with the theme “Women’s Startup Innovation and Green Transformation”. The reception and screening round at the provincial, municipal and coordinating agencies and units had 2,545 startup projects participating in the competition (an increase of 26% compared to the competition in 2023). After the preliminary and training rounds, the startup projects completed detailed project descriptions to participate in the regional semi-finals. 80/300 typical startup projects sent by the Women’s Unions of 63 provinces and cities and coordinating agencies and units to participate in the preliminary round at the Central level were selected to participate in the Regional Competition Final round held in the province representing the 3 regions of the North, Central and South.
