SHENZHEN, CHINA – Media OutReach Newswire – September 18, 2024 – To mark its 20th anniversary, OPPO plans to establish a partnership with the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), with the goal of promoting cultural and diversity education through technology. Using imaging technology, the initiative aims to preserve and convey cultural heritage, enabling young people to explore the world and connect with diverse cultures, truly embodying the spirit of “Connecting Cultures, Inspiring the Future”.

Empowering Cultural Education Through Visualization Technology and the Call for “Cultural Donations”
As part of this partnership, OPPO will donate 1,000 OPPO tablets to support local youth education in Africa and Asia. The devices will be given in conjunction with cultural coding courses developed under the “Youth Coding Initiative”, co-launched by UNESCO and CODEMAO, a children’s coding education brand. The initiative aims to promote inclusive and safe use of technology, promote equitable education in Africa and Asia, and help preserve local cultural heritage through digital learning.

The partnership between OPPO and UNESCO will be officially launched after completing relevant UNESCO evaluation procedures. OPPO’s initiative has received strong support from the China National Commission for UNESCO.
In addition to the donations, OPPO is launching a global campaign #CaptureMyCulture, encouraging users around the world to contribute to cultural preservation by sharing photos and stories that celebrate their local traditions. Those who participate in this campaign will have the opportunity to witness the donation ceremony.
