Samsung subsidiary partners with Vietnamese company to develop rooftop solar power

Recently, CME Solar Investment Joint Stock Company (CME) and Vista Global, a subsidiary of Samsung C&T, announced a cooperation program to promote the development of rooftop solar energy in Vietnam.

This partnership marks an important milestone, underscoring the two parties’ strong commitment to sustainability and environmental management. It contributes significantly to Vietnam’s national goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, as well as global efforts to combat climate change and accelerate the transition to renewable energy.

The CME–Vista joint venture aims to combine expertise, resources, and technology to advance solar power projects in Vietnam and accelerate the adoption of clean energy solutions nationwide.

Drawing on extensive experience in investing and implementing renewable energy projects with a total global capacity of 5,000 MWp, CME–Vista has established a strong financial and technical foundation to significantly expand the deployment of rooftop solar systems across the country.

Earlier, at the Ho Chi Minh City Investment Promotion Conference for Green Growth, Samsung representatives expressed interest in partnering with the city to develop rooftop solar power, aiming to transform the Saigon Hi-Tech Park into Vietnam’s first Net Zero industrial zone.
