Spreading the “I Love My Homeland” movement

Tác giả bizdi

The “I Love My Homeland” movement helps nurture a generation of young people rich in ideals, equipped with knowledge, capacity, and health, driven by ambition and a spirit of service to the nation. The movement acts as a flame that kindles patriotism among the youth—spreading widely and inspiring them to continue applying their talents and dedicating their energy to building their homeland.

The “I Love My Homeland” movement has been synchronously implemented by Youth Union chapters across the province, tied to nurturing revolutionary ideals and strengthening patriotism among young people. It promotes the role and importance of youth in establishing themselves, building their careers, and achieving prosperity through legitimate means. The movement has received strong support from members and young people through practical and meaningful actions suited to local realities.

To ensure the movement truly becomes a widespread and influential emulation campaign, Youth Union committees at all levels in the province have strengthened moral and lifestyle education, political activities, and journeys to historical sites in order to enhance traditional and patriotic education for members and youth. During the term, the entire province organized 1,250 communication and educational activities, attracting more than 450,000 participants. The study and dissemination of topics on Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology, ethics, and style have been given great attention, with Youth Union chapters coordinating with local Youth Communist Union branches to implement them in ways appropriate for members and young people—while also focusing on reforming working styles toward practical grassroots engagement aligned with each year’s theme.

The province has actively promoted the implementation of Directive No. 42-CT/TW dated April 23, 2015, issued by the Party Central Secretariat on “Strengthening the Party’s leadership over the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyles for the young generation in the 2015–2030 period.” It has effectively maintained campaigns such as “Building the Image of Vietnamese Youth in the New Era” based on the values “Pure Heart – Bright Mind – Great Aspiration,” as well as the spirit of “Affection for the Fatherland’s Borderlands.” Youth members were encouraged to voluntarily register for military service. The province coordinated visits, exchanges, and gift-giving activities with border guard stations, attracting nearly 120,000 youth participants and delivering more than 4 billion VND in gifts.

A total of 1,118 activities were held to disseminate and educate youth on legal matters—especially regarding national borders, sea and island sovereignty, land borders, environmental protection, and the prevention of social evils, violence, and the harmful effects of alcohol. These activities drew over 135,000 participants, contributing to shaping the lifestyle of “Living and working in accordance with the Constitution and the law” among youth, particularly those in remote, mountainous, and ethnic minority areas.

During the 2019–2024 term, the province honored 850 outstanding Youth Union officials and members, including eight exemplary young people, 20 outstanding young families, 12 exemplary leaders of the Youth Union and Youth Federation, and five collectives and six individuals recognized for their contributions to volunteer work.
