The heartfelt support of Khánh Vĩnh’s mountain youth for people in storm- and flood-hit areas

Along with people across the country, the youth of the mountainous Khánh Vĩnh District (Khánh Hòa Province) prepared hundreds of jars of dried fish made in the traditional Raglai style, hoping to bring tasty meals and a bit of comfort to those affected by Storm No. 3 so they can soon rebuild their lives.

Over the past few days, Youth Union members from communes and townships across the district have gathered at the Khánh Vĩnh District Youth Union Center to grill fish, prepare the meat, hand-pound it, and pack jars of dried fish rich in the flavors of the mountains—so they can be promptly delivered to northern localities affected by storms and flooding.

The Khánh Vĩnh District Youth Union has consistently introduced creative initiatives and meaningful activities to bring young people together and encourage acts of sharing.
Cao Thị Ngọc Thoa, Deputy Secretary of the Khánh Vĩnh District Youth Union, said that northern provinces hit by recent rains and flooding are facing great hardship. In response, the young people of Khánh Vĩnh, carrying on the tradition of “mutual support” and “the healthy leaf protects the torn leaf,” have come together to support their compatriots in the North.
