GDVN – Schools implement flexible and appropriate teaching solutions, ensuring progress according to the school year schedule, without causing pressure or overload for teachers and students.

On September 19, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Document No. 5561/BGDĐT-GDTrH on organizing teaching and learning for schools damaged by storms and floods to the Departments of Education and Training.

According to the document, recent floods have caused severe damage, forcing schools and students in some localities to stay home for many days. Even during the water receding period, localities and schools have made efforts to promptly implement solutions to welcome students back to school.

However, there are still some schools and campuses that are too badly damaged or isolated to continue teaching.

To ensure the maintenance of learning for all students and the completion of the school year program as planned, the Ministry of Education and Training requested the Department of Education and Training to direct schools to implement flexible teaching solutions, suitable to practical conditions to ensure program progress according to the school year time frame but not cause pressure or overload for teachers and students.

Specifically, the Ministry of Education and Training requires the Departments of Education and Training to review and have appropriate plans to bring students from schools and school locations that have not yet reopened to the main school or other schools in the area to study; for students who have to travel too far, there must be plans suitable to actual conditions to support students who are staying in semi-boarding or boarding schools while overcoming the effects of floods.

Mobilize teachers from local schools to support teachers and students from schools damaged by storms and floods to organize teaching and make up for missed classes for students.

For students who are unable to attend school due to difficult circumstances, the school has plans suitable to actual conditions to maintain learning for students such as: assigning lessons, assigning teachers to directly support each student or group of students at their place of residence, ensuring safety and effectiveness.

Departments of education and training adjust school education plans, develop make-up study plans for students to ensure completion of the first semester and the entire school year education program according to the general education plan of the locality and the whole country.
