Twenty-five years, nearly two million young people have taken part in summer volunteer programs.

On September 18, the Da Nang Youth Union held a ceremony marking 25 years of the Da Nang Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign and summarizing the 2024 Summer Volunteer Campaign.

With one program and four major campaigns — the “Exam Season Support Program,” the “Green Summer Campaign,” the “Red Flamboyant Campaign,” the “Green March Campaign,” and the “Pink Vacation Campaign” — nearly 6,000 volunteer teams were deployed, with almost two million young volunteers participating in activities over the years.

Youth Union branches across the city established 63 regular environmental cleanup sites to eliminate pollution hotspots in residential areas; they also maintained and created 32 civilized streets meeting the criteria of “Bright–Green–Clean–Beautiful–Civilized–Safe.”

Over the past 25 years, the Summer Volunteer Youth Campaign has become a meaningful and symbolic volunteer movement representing the spirit and energy of Da Nang’s youth.
